This western inspired ranch style cabin is located in the Santa Lucia Preserve, in Carmel, California. Thus the focus was to maintain a rustic feeling throughout the space. This was achieved by using hardwood in everything from the floors to the cabinets and even the walls and ceiling. The kitchen features a large island with copper counter tops, a gas range as well as seating for three; and the polished concrete counter tops of the rest of the kitchen serve as a reminder of the modernity of the home. Finally, the vaulted ceilings give this relatively small space a much bigger, brighter feel and allow the rustic accents to really shine!
